Portrait or Personal Image - Eli Boschetto

Bosco Mountain Photo

My name is Eli Boschetto, and I live in Portland, OR, with my wife Mitzi. We’re both extremely active in the outdoors—hiking, backpacking, snowshoeing, and snowboarding. My professional background is publishing and marketing graphic design, but in the past several years have combined my two favorite hobbies—outdoors adventure and photography—into a larger endeavor. I've taken photography courses with the Rocky Mountain School of Photography, Gerlach Nature Photo, and BetterPhoto.com. I use a Nikon D90 DSLR.

In 2009, I was invited to join Backpacker magazine’s map and trails correspondents team, covering the Northwest. Look for my reports and photos on Backpacker.com. Starting in 2010, I have joined the Washington Trails Association's editorial group, and for 2011 will be part of the WTA Gear Team. I have produced numerous articles about Northwest hiking in the Washington Trails magazine.

To date, my images have appeared in the pages of Backpacker, Washington Trails, and Sierra magazines; and in several WTA and Washington state travel publications and websites, as well as OutdoorPhotographer.com, Schmap.com, ExperienceWA.com, and the Northwest Geotourism Project website.

In 2009, the Wilderness Society selected one of my photos - Ramona Falls, in the Mt. Hood Wilderness - as the 3rd Place Winner in their Wild 45 photo contest. Visit my Awards & Publications page for details

Stay up to date on the latest news, travels, and image additions at my blog.

Cheers ~ Eli
